Description: Edmonton Public School Archives and Museum is located in historic McKay Avenue School, site of the first session of the Alberta Legislature. This 1905 brick building has been carefully restored and now features educational displays, the restored 1906 legislative Chamber and era classrooms. Several other classrooms have been restored and furnished as meeting rooms. The third floor is available for meetings, weddings and private parties. On the same property is a beautiful Victorian-style park, complete with gazebo, which is also available for weddings. We offer all visitors an interesting stay in a unique setting. Description: The Edmonton Radial Railway Society restores and operates a collection of vintage streetcars within the historical setting of Fort Edmonton Park. This collection includes Edmonton's first streetcar, Car No. 1 as well as a number of other vintage Edmonton cars. In addition to its Fort operations, the Society operates a streetcar over the High Level Bridge. The route runs from old Strathcona on the south side, across the bridge to the Grandin LRT station on the north side. The view from the bridge is breath taking. Description: The Leduc West Antique Society has developed an 80 acre museum site with restored historical buildings as well as storage buildings housing artifacts and private collections. In late July the Leduc West Antique Exposition features antique steam and gasoline tractors, vintage machinery, heavy horse pull and dog competitions, equipment parades with vintage cars and trucks. Demonstrations and entertainment from 8am to 10pm for 2 full days, including rides for children. During the summer, the site is open from 10am to 5pm for self-guided visits, as well as special arrangements for senior and school tours.
